Whether it’s for work during the week or adventure on the weekend, an ASG4X4 chassis extension helps your ute perform the way it was always meant to.

The tray-back ute is the ultimate all-rounder. But as loads get heavier, trays get longer, or towing becomes part of the job, the limits of a standard wheelbase can quickly show.

A chassis extension solves this by increasing the wheelbase ahead of the rear suspension, adding between 300mm and 450mm depending on your setup. The result is more usable tray or canopy space, improved weight distribution, a more settled ride, and greater confidence when towing.

At ASG4X4, we offer chassis extensions for all major makes and models, including Toyota LandCruiser 79 Series, Toyota Hilux, Ford Ranger, Mazda BT-50, Isuzu D-Max, Nissan Navara, and Volkswagen Amarok, across Single Cab, Extra Cab, and Dual Cab configurations.

Once your vehicle is transformed into a fully optimised solution, we hand over the keys - with ongoing support available whenever you need it.

  • Our chassis extensions are extensively engineered to meet (and often exceed) original manufacturer specifications, providing strength, safety and reliability. By moving the rear axle back, we're able to create more stability under heavy loads and towing. Having the rear axle closer to the center of the tray offers better weight distribution.

    Extensions available:

    • 300mm: allows for a tray or canopy up to 300mm longer than standard to be fitted.

    • 450mm: allows for a tray or canopy up to 450mm longer than standard to be fitted.

  • All extensions come with the appropriate engineering support for compliance in your state or territory.

    All options are available under Federal Second Stage of Manufacturing (SSM) approvals and post-registration state compliance.

  • Our dual cab conversions and chassis extensions can include GVM (Gross Vehicle Mass) upgrades, supported by upgraded suspension and extensive engineering to ensure safety and reliability under heavier loads.
